Welcome Message

Summer Learning Camp and Bridge Camp is a place where children can spend part of the summer exercising their minds, bodies, making new friends and having lots of fun.

About

The Putnam County School System will be launching a four-week Summer Learning Camp for students entering grades 1-5, and Bridge Camp for students entering grades 6-8. The camps will run from June 1 – 28, 2021 at no cost to families. These camps will primarily focus on reading, math, physical activity, and fun!

  • Summer Learning Camp (current K-4th) will be Monday-Friday, and each Friday will be designated as a "STREAM" mini-camp day. Our youngest learners will spend each Friday immersed in special projects and instruction involving the STREAM areas of learning (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Math).

  • Bridge Camp (current 5th-7th) will be Monday-Thursday, however, students will have the option to attend LEAPS on Friday, if requested.

All families will have the option of before and after camp childcare from 6:00 - 8:00 a.m. and 3:00-6:00 p.m. provided by LEAPS. *You will have to enroll through LEAPS.

Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be served and transportation is provided, if needed.

If you requested bus transportation, the bus garage will be contacting you with information about pick up and drop off times and locations.

Mission

Our mission is to provide children with an opportunity to develop academically from any learning loss that may have taken place during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our program will encompass an atmosphere of respect, fun and friendship, so campers can achieve personal satisfaction and growth as a student for the 2021-22 school year.

Registration for camp has closed as of April 20, 2021.
