Meet Our Art Teacher

Justin Blackmon knew early in his childhood that art would be the creative outlet he would use to speak to the world around him. His roots started in the foothills of Albany, KY. Every year he would enter his art into the local festival's poster contest. Little did he know that the same poster contest would be the start of a lifelong passion and drive for the arts.

He went on to continue his education at The Art Institute of Atlanta. While living in the city, Justin continued to grow and enrich himself in the arts. With more than 20 years of professional experience, he has practiced in a range of mediums and styles.

Justin resides in Putnam County with his wife Emily. He is the father of twin 2nd graders that attend Prescott South Elementary and a new baby boy. His work can be found in multiple galleries locally and throughout the southeast. Justin is also the board-appointed president of Art Round Tennessee, a local non-profit that ensures the preservation and growth of art and artists in the Upper Cumberland.
