Ramsey honored with All Tennessee School Board Award

During its Annual Convention, the Tennessee School Boards Association (TSBA) named outstanding school board members to the All Tennessee School Board. Putnam County’s Jill Ramsey earned the distinguished award. Jill has been a member of the PCSS board for the last three years and is a Level IV school board member. She currently serves as her board’s legislative liaison. While on the Board, she has been part of the new Parkview Elementary School, the Restoring Childhood Initiative, and the creation of the Early Learning Academy. The PCSS Board was recognized as School Board of the Year in 2024, and they have won Camp TSBA the past two years.
Members of this board were selected by a panel of judges. The following are the selection criteria for this award:
- Achievement of Level IV status in the TSBA Boardsmanship Award Program
- Quality of service, with emphasis on the previous 12 months
- Participation in board development activities, with emphasis on the previous 12 months
- Specific accomplishments of the local board of education during the nominee’s term on the board
- Leadership activities at the local, regional, or state level
