Current PCSS Students:
Current students will only need to verify their 2023-24 Data Verification Form information with their schools and update only if there are changes to be made.
Families will need to watch for additional information from school principals regarding this process. Data verification forms can be sent to families electronically using the email address in SchoolMessenger for children’s report cards or other means as they become available thru Powerschool.

There will be three ways for families to begin the early enrollment process for new students.
1.) The primary way will be for families to use an online option. Below are links to register for school and to set up an optional account for Powerschool. Once the online registration is submitted, schools will contact families to set a time to visit the school site and complete the process in person.

3.) Families can make a phone call to contact the school and establish a time to complete the enrollment process totally in person at the appropriate school. For questions regarding enrollment or zoning:

Priority Zoning Policy 6.205:
Enrollment priorities are as follows: (based on parent/guardian’s residential address)

Priority 2 - Students living in the zone;
Priority 3 - Students who are siblings of students currently enrolled at requested school; and
Priority 4 - Students are living outside of the requested school zone.
*All K-12 students currently attending a school outside of their residentially assigned zone may finish at that respective school to the highest grade level of that building, provided the family furnishes transportation if the student is out-of-zone.
*Transportation services can only be provided to students who live in their schools’ zone. Please view the Enrollment Zone Finder application to view your zoned schools for the 2022-23 school year.
*Pre-K students are not eligible for Priority 1 status (except children of full-time PCSS employees).
Approved School Board Priority Exceptions:
As of the School Board meeting held May 5, 2022, these are the guidelines for future enrollments for the 22/23 SY:1. Allow only Priority 1 and 2 students to enroll at their individual Elementary Schools as of 5/5/22. This would prohibit Priority 3 and 4 students from enrolling at an out-of-zone elementary school except for those students participating in the Priority 4 Transfer Window/Lottery which will close on May 25 at 3 pm.*1. Elementary Schools- These enrollment priorities will be available at the respective schools:
Algood Elementary- 1, 2
Baxter Primary- 1, 2
Burks Elementary - 1, 2
Cane Creek Elementary - 1, 2
Capshaw Elementary - 1, 2
Cornerstone Elementary - 1, 2
Jere Whitson Elementary - 1, 2
Northeast Elementary - 1, 2
Park View Elementary - 1, 2
Prescott South Elementary - 1, 2
Sycamore Elementary - 1, 2
*A Priority 4 Kindergarten Lottery (KL) list will be collected at each eligible site BPS, Burks, CCES, CES, NES, and PVES) during the April early enrollment period for those families who wish for their kindergartener to try to enroll at an eligible school. The kindergartener must already have a pending enrollment at their Priority 1, 2, or 3 schools in order to enter the lottery at a different school.
* (NEW) A Priority 4 Transfer Request Window/ Lottery (4L) will take place for currently enrolled students in grades K-3 wishing to transfer to grades 1-4 at an eligible school for the 22-23 school year (SY) after the Early Enrollment process is completed in April. The Transfer Request Window will take place in May and results will be reported in early June. Before the window opens, the district will post the available number of seats for transfer requests per eligible school/grade on pcsstn.com once that number is developed, pending compliance with building capacity and student-teacher ratios while maintaining room for growth. If the number of transfer requests for a particular school exceeds the number of posted available seats at that school, a lottery will be conducted to determine the students allowed to transfer. Current enrollment in grades K-3 at a priority 1, 2, or 3 school is required for applicants. More information on this process will be available for families before the Transfer Request Window opens.
*Transportation must be provided if attending an out-of-zone school.
